This Week, Jan. 8 and Upcoming Events

Shalom Ohev Tzedek Congregants and Friends:

We are going to cancel services this week due to the Winter Storm Warning for the area.  The prediction for Saturday morning has called for varying levels of snowfall ranging from 1 to 8 inches depending on the direction the fronts that are moving.  Temperatures today and Saturday are said to range from 16 degrees to 47 degrees with freezing rain.  Our members are our most important consideration, so please stay safe.

That being said, due to the positive response we received from the inclusion last week of the sermon and Parsha in our weather-related closure email, we are going to include that information in an e-mail each week and on our website.  Thank you for the positive comments. We hope you enjoy the resources we have included today.

Best regards,

Francie Yarwood

Let Us Remember and Observe Together.

We are commanded to remember Shabbat; but remembering means much more than merely not forgetting to observe Shabbat. It also means to remember the significance of Shabbat, both as a commemoration of creation and as a commemoration of our freedom from slavery in Egypt.
